The LKE exam step by step
- 01
Theory course at an ATO or DTO
The course ends with a certificate from the training organisation. Without it there is no exam. The certificate stays valid for 12 months.
- 02
Application and fee
The Examination Commission receives a signed theory-exam application, the training certificate and proof of the fee.
- 03
Booking
Once the application is accepted, ULC emails a PIN and password for app.ulc.gov.pl, where each subject is booked separately.
- 04
The exam at the Examination Centre
Each subject is a separate paper with its own time limit. Logging in needs the PIN and password; ULC does not reissue them on the day.
- 05
Pass and validity
A subject is passed from 75% of the marks. All subjects must be passed within 18 months. The full set stays valid for 24 months.

Common questions
How many questions does the PPL(A) exam have?
Nine subjects and 152 questions, 6 hours in total. The longest paper is air law — 28 questions in 45 minutes.
Is the app free?
Yes. No account, no ads.
Where do the questions come from?
From the sample question bank published by the Civil Aviation Authority (ULC). We processed the questions for the app, and the answer explanations are our own writing.
Does the app work offline?
Questions and explanations already downloaded stay on the device and open without a connection. The first launch and any new content need the internet.
Is the app connected to ULC?
No. It is independent. The Civil Aviation Authority neither wrote it nor supervises it.
How many attempts per subject?
Four. All subjects must be passed within 18 months, counted from the end of the month of the first exam. Exceeding either limit means retaking the whole set.
